• We acknowledge one another as equals • We try to stay curious about each other • We recognize that we need each other’s help to become better listeners • We slow down so we have time to think and reflect • We want all to have an opportunity to contribute each in his or her own way • We keep our message and language simple and respectful so that no one feels intimidated • We value each individual’s goals • We accept and cherish difference and diversity • We want people to feel safe
2. Values about structure
• We want the structure to promote the Pearl Seekers’ vision • We want to have a framework so that we can judge where we are and how we are going • We have an agreed pattern for gatherings and meetings • We recognise the need for facilitators for Face to Face groups and moderators for Online topics • We have a structure that is accountable to Pearl Seekers • We recognise that people will test if Pearl Seekers is suitable for them • We recognise and accept that people will move on
3. Values for Pearl Seekers’ Team
• We want our language to be clear and our decisions to be simply expressed • We consult with others about decisions • We rely as much as possible on the individual Pearl Seeker and the discussion groups to support these values. • We on the Pearl Seekers' Team will practise all the above values in the exercise of our leadership role • We on the Pearl Seekers' Team will be accountable to the members
